Frequently asked questions

Our lessons are taught at our exclusive pool in Moorgate, Rotherham, South Yorkshire. The pool is 0.9m - 1.25m deep (mostly 1.25m) and the water is kept at a minimum 32C - bliss!

Our lessons are 30 minutes (including entry and exit of the pool)

Group classes are £16.50 per lesson (£66 for 4 weeks). Fees are paid monthly before lessons begin and on the 1st of each month. Your first payment will include a 4 week deposit that is used towards payment of your final month swimming with us. We prefer payment via bank transfer. Cash can be paid at the pool if you are not able to pay by bank transfer.

We provide child and parent/carer lessons, child only lessons and adult only lessons. Parents/guardians are always in the pool for baby toddler classes.

We prefer to teach from within the water for support and demonstration for baby/toddler, foundation and beginner classes.

Our water is a lovely warm 32C. Your baby can start as soon as you feel ready. There is no need to wait until they have had vaccinations. If your baby was born premature or has a medical condition please check with your GP or Health Visitor.

We have a one adult per child policy in the pool in order to comply with safety limits . Another adult may watch on poolside. It does not need to be the same adult in the pool each week.

For independent children's lessons, you will need to bring swimwear, swim hat and a towel. Adults are welcome to wear modesty swim wear or a t-shirt over regular swim wear. For baby/toddler lessons we operate the "double nappy system" - you will need to bring a NeoNappy PLUS a liner or disposable swim nappy(if your little one is not yet toilet trained) and a towel. We recommend that you bring two towels for baby.

We are a Splash About Happy Nappy stockist, so you can try for size and buy at the pool. We also have the re-usable inner nappy for sale and some disposable swim nappies. To help with pool hygiene we ask all children over 3.5 years to wear a swimming hat. We prefer that babies/toddlers and beginners do not wear goggles. Please ask your teacher.

Unfortunately there is not enough room for prams inside the building. We need to ensure that entry/exits are kept clear in case of emergencies. Please leave these in your vehicle or outside the pool building.

We run throughout the year including most school holidays. We close for two weeks at Christmas and also on Bank Holidays. Our lessons are progressive and roll over monthly, you can leave at anytime with just one month's notice.

We offer one trial lesson to each new customer so that you can meet us and try our lessons, paying for just one lesson before making any further commitment. Prior booking for this is essential and subject to availability.

Unfortunately we are not able to provide a sibling discount.

We specialise in swimming lessons. We do not hire the pool out to any other swim school, or for private hire, or parties.
